About us

Polīši is a small creative hub in the heart of Kurzeme – in Alsunga – where, surrounded by nature and silence, two workshops have found their home, representing two different yet harmonious worlds: sound and clothing.

Polīši is more than just workshops – it is a space for creation. In this place where the rhythm of nature, craftsmanship, and a sense of design come together, things are made to last and to live alongside their users.

VS-Audio

The founder of the VS-Audio workshop is Vitautas Skrinskas – an engineer with 40 years of professional experience.
In 1984, he earned his engineering qualification in automatic electrical communications from the former Riga Polytechnic Institute (Diploma KB No. 215183). He began his career as a design engineer in a laboratory specializing in non-standard measuring instruments. Later, he worked for 13 years as an auto electrician at SIA Freibi Riepas.

For over 10 years now, Vitautas Skrinskas has been dedicated to building tube-based audio equipment, personally designing both the visual appearance and the technical solutions. Most of his work focuses on power amplifiers, but his portfolio also includes phono preamps, tone control units, headphone amplifiers, and power filters.

Vitautas is also passionate about restoring vintage radios and crafting acoustic speaker systems.

E-Skrins

Eva Skrinskas, the founder of the E-Skrins brand, is a clothing designer, technologist, and patternmaker with over 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge in fashion history, design, and garment technology. She also has hands-on experience in both scientific research and clothing design and tailoring.

Eva's expertise in garment creation is grounded in her academic background: a bachelor's and master's degree in Material Design and Technology from Riga Technical University (Engineer’s Diploma PD C No. 0682; Professional Master’s Diploma PD E No. 1693), as well as a diploma in Fashion Design from the Liepāja College of Applied Arts (Diploma T No. 068547).
